This project was a unique pairing of SUNY Architectural design students with fourth year Construction Administration students. The project was a day care center for children of faculty and staff, and was located near the agricultural school, which had distinct vernacular forms to which the students could respond with their designs. The construction students proposed pertinent practical questions, and the architecture students responded with critical analysis and timely communications. The goals were attractive, buildable projects; planned site utilities; effective budgets and estimating; sold scope and logistics; and proposed scheduling with Gantt charts.
