Renaissance Clubhouse

Renders of an Italian Renaissance clubhouse, based on Tuscan and Venetian palaces.

All facets of Italian Renaissance architecture were studied for this resort clubhouse design, nearly 100,000 square feet in size. Reference images were diverse, and ranged from Tuscan palaces to villas in the Veneto region by Andreas Palladio. The drawings were rigorously drafted hardline on vellum, and then traced freehand onto a sheet of brown wrapping paper over six feet long. The media for the final drawing and color was chalk, charcoal, pastel, and colored pencil.
