Architectural Graphics students completed the two first projects here. The first is a rendering of three diverse iages merged together, completed in colored pencil, with an eye towards belending with the original material. The second is a perspective rendering, the last drawing for a set of drawings of an Ancient Roman structure, the Horologium of Andronicus of Cyrrhus. This clocktower is also a meteorological device, and is often instead simply called the “Tower of the Winds.” Students produced full sets of plans, sections, elevations, and a perspective for this project.
The third assignment was produced for an Architectural Technologies course, a class more aptly entitled simply Construciton. Students produced wall sections for a variety of buildings, including Wood, Masonry, and Concrete structures. The goal for this assignment is understanding of construction materials and methods, through a well-wrought, buildable section with accurate detailing, clean draftsmanship, and a clear notation. Shown with these wall sections is one final persentation drawing by Jake Farris, a building section for the A.E.G. Turbine Plant.
