The proprietor of this Classical Salon and Spa, a spa specializing in hair care, skin and nail care, tanning, and massage, had significantly outgrown their previous location. She desired a new setting, with an appropriate number of rooms, stations, and a welcoming entrance. The tenant finish was initially prescribed by the owner of the new location, in a shopping center in North Olmsted, Ohio on Lorain Road near Columbia Road. The original plans depicted stations and treatment rooms in a configuration that was not ideal for the format of this particular establishment. Ergo, a complete revision was mandated.
The owner requested a new plan with appropriately sized and positioned stations and rooms, with their associated fixtures, outlets, and accouterments in the correct places. We chose to interpret the design in a classical vein, with several features drawn from sites in classical Greece, including a waiting room feature that hearkened to the Oracle at Delphi.
